It was a senior golfers' annual golf challenge day again on Wednesday 10th August 2011 at the Pacific Harbour Golf Club. The challenge was between the seniors from the Pacific Harbour and the Fiji Golf Club, who had to travel to the Pacific Harbour Golf Club.
There were twenty two seniors from the Fiji Golf Club.
The inaugural event last year was won by the Pacific Harbour seniors. This year, it was the seniors from FGC, who claimed the challenge by 60 stableford points margin.
Martha Valentine took the top spot, while Lillian Allan, on count back and Charlotte Thomas from the Pacific Harbour won 2nd and 3rd prizes, respectively in the ladies category.Joe Tabuya won the top spot in men’s category, while Ishwar Nand claimed the second spot. Jack Reddy, on count back from Chris Marshall [ Pac Harbour] finished 3rd.
The tournament organisation was ably carried out by Alan McCulloch, who was assisted by his fellow golfers from the Pac Harbour.
The seniors from FGC would like to thank Alan and his team for the job well done.
We understand everybody had a grand time.
