Bank of Baroda Sponsored Captain's Qualifying Round

Bank of Baroda sponsored a 2012 Captain’s Cup qualifying round, which is one of the major tournaments on the Fiji Golf Club calendar. It was a two-day tournament played over eighteen holes each on Saturday and Sunday.
Despite the adverse weather conditions over the weekend, a good field turned out to participate in the tournament.
The sponsor’s representatives were present at the club house during the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday evening to present prizes to the daily and overall winners of the tournament.
Ilaisa Labaibure, 157 gross, won overall gross prize in the A grade, while Robert Li, 158 gross won second overall gross prize in the grade. S Prakash, who played 4 over, 76 won the day one gross prize. Two daily nett prizes on offer in the grade were won by Mohammed Rizwan, 71 nett on countback and V K Pillai, 69 nett for day one and day two, respectively.
The B grade overall gross prize was won by Praneel Chandra, who scored 165 gross, while FMF CEO, Ram Bajekal, 167 gross collected the second overall gross prize in the tournament. Michael Andrews, 138 nett, won the overall nett prize in the grade. P K Singh, 85 and Mervyn Low, 85 won day one and day two gross prizes, respectively, while daily nett winners in the grade were Filiome Jitoko, 69 nett on day one and Umesh Shandil, 73 nett on day two.
William Naisara, 177 gross won first overall gross prizes in men’s C grade while Eric Shandil, 186 gross, had to settle for a second overall gross prize. The overall nett prize in the grade was won by young junior, Jiujiu Lecavanavanua, 131nett. The daily gross prizes for two days were won by  Nemani Yavala, 92 and H T Park, 99, while nett prizes for two days were won by Joe Dulaiverata, 72 nett and S U Park, 77 nett for day one and day two, respectively.
Gye Oh, 159 gross had an easy overall gross win in the ladies’ silver division, while young Ufemia Naisara, 193 gross was a run up in the division. Kamini Singh, 195 won overall gross in the ladies’ bronze division. The nett winners in ladies’ division were day one J R Yoon, 71,  and Mua Rawlinson, 79 while Agnes Managreve, 74 nett won the day-2 nett prize.
